Review: When I think of the image of Two Crows I hark back to my days as a kid when I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons and laugh. Fast forward to today and I’m staring at Two Crows that are also cartoons but instead of bring me pleasure they are threatening to bring me pain via this hot relish. Make no mistake this is one of those relishes that delivers on the promise of being hot. It’s a lingering burn that hangs around long after its made its way through the front door, like a long lost friend asking if they can spend the night at your place that stays for a couple of days. Upon tasting the relish the heat is the very first thing that hits you but after that has passed there is a slightly sweet aftertaste that takes the edge of the burn. It has a good consistency and the ingredients taste fresh. On my heat scale it’s a 8 out of 10.
Verdict: Two Crows Condiments The Breadman’s HOT Chilli Relish truly delivers on its promise. It is a hot relish that has great flavours and a slightly sweet aftertaste to take the edge off. Ingredients are fresh and the relish is well made. This would go really well on sausage sizzles, burgers or even with fresh baked bread. It could also work really well with a cheese and cracker platter as a hot option sauce. The jar urges you to experiment and this relish is the kind of all-rounder that can work on almost anything. My final score is a 9 out of 10.
