Review: Holy cow….just pause for a moment before reading the rest of this review and check out the variety of chillies the maniacs from Fire Dragon Chillies have squeezed into this bottle. Just cracking open the bottle and the aroma has cleared my sinuses, so this is one seriously hot sauce. Upon initial tasting and in all cases when you try an extremely hot sauce flavour can be like a delivery driver….only there to drop off the spicy package and disappear onto his next delivery. And in this instance it does just that. The heat and the number of chilli types far outweighs any other ingredients in this sauce. It’s pure dynamite in a jar. On my heat scale….and for the first time in my years as a reviewer its officially broken the scale….so it’s a 11 out of 10.
Verdict: Fire Dragon Chillies NZ Chilli Eating Champs Limited Edition is in my humble opinion an extreme hot sauce. Its fire in a bottle. If you are game to have this I’d recommend it with barbecued meats and maybe to add spice to your favourite soups or pasta sauces, but use with caution. Don’t be a hero with this sauce, it’s the type of sauce that can turn the hardest chilli head into a whimpering mess in the corner if you over do it. Start off slowly to really appreciate it. My final score is a 9 out of 10.
