Review: For the purpose of this tasting I have applied the rub on some chicken thigh fillets and cooked it over a charcoal barbecue. This is the first Caribbean BBQ Rub that I have tried and its very nice. It has a good level of heat and works really well with chicken but would also probably suite pork or lamb. For best results I marinated the meat prior to cooking. On my heat rating it’s a 6 out of 10.
Verdict: The Spice Factory Caribbean BBQ Rub is another fantastic alternative to traditional BBQ dry rubs. Its delicious, balanced and has a good level of heat. Well suited to pork, lamb or chicken. A bit on the spicy side for chilli novices. I found it to be delicious and authentic to the origin. My final score is a chilli 8 out of 10.
