The Spice Factory – Smoked Peri Peri

It is no wonder that this spice mix achieved a 3rd place at the 2018 Mr Chilli awards. Aside from the salt flavour, which I assume would be the base of this mix, a solid cardamom fragrance and flavour sings out. This adds a beautifully refreshing addition to the balance of ingredients. I may be wrong, but I am quite sure cardamom is what I am tasting.
In all honesty, anything that is smoked is going to win me over. I would prefer if the ingredients were genuinely smoked rather than adding a smoked ‘flavour’ but that’s just being picky.
I could have this mix with anything from meat dishes, sausages, an even pasta dishes. If someone isn’t as much of a fan of smoky flavours, it may be a bit too much, but I love the stuff! Heck, I may even add it to my noodles!
For flavour, I’ll give this an 8/10 and for heat, I’ll give it a 2/10.
