Review: I had no idea what to expect when I opened the jar of “I Believe I can Fly” Cobra Chilli Wing Sauce.  This was demonstrated by my first smell – long, deep and a lung full.   Ooh, interesting.  It wasn’t spicy enough to burn my nose (of which said body part is most appreciative), but you could tell it was going to have a kick.

Me being me, I decided to do something “different” with the wing sauce.  I marinated a whole chicken breast with 2 tablespoons (okay, it might have been more) for an hour, then oven cooked the breast for 20  minutes.  My kitchen, and my taste buds, was in scent heaven.  I then sliced the breast and mixed it through an avocado/tomato/cucumber salad.

Now, I didn’t know that Cobra Chilli won the entire Hot Win category in the Mr Chilli Awards in 2016, but let me tell you – I am not surprised!!   The heat level, for me, was great – enough to make me sweat just a little, burn my mouth a little, but not enough to blow my head off (because let’s face it, it’s hard to eat more chilli when your head has been blown off).  The sauce was nice and creamy, and mixed through my salad so that even the bits that didn’t have chicken had the wonderful taste in it.  I have to say, I did have to “wipe my brow” a few times, but I’m such a girl, and prefer not to LOOK sweaty when I’m eating (even if I like the sweat from chilli).

I am recommending this product to everyone.  I’m even thinking of other recipes I can use it in!

For flavour give this sauce an 8/10 and for heat I give it a 8/10. It’s a kicker!
