Bangladashi Chilli Paneer

BANGLADASHI CHILLI PANEER

 

 

Ingredients

200 gms Paneer
½ Red Capsicum, 1 cm diced
100 gm Onion, 1 cm diced
4 green Serranos chopped
3 tbls Corn flour
¼ cup Rice Bran oil
1 egg
1 tbls white Vinegar
2 tbls dark Soya Sauce
2 tbls Tomato sauce

Method

  1. Cut the paneer in 2 cm cubes.
  2. Beat the Egg in a large bowl, add 2 tbls of Cornflour, 1 tbls Soya Sauce and marinate the Paneer in this marinade for at least 2 hours
  3. Heat the oil in a wok, and fry the Paneer till the outside is golden. Take out and place on a kitchen towel to drain out the excess oil.
  4. Discard most of the oil from the wok, keeping just a little to fry the vegetables. Add the Onions to the oil, fry till translucent
  5. Add the Capsicum and fry for 2-3 mins.
  6. Pour in the Soya Sauce, Vinegar and Tomato sauce and stir till it thickens. Pour in a little water and cook till the Capsicums are almost done.
  7. Add the fried Paneer and cook 1 min.
  8. Garnish with the chopped Habs.
