800 gm Tomatoes
¼ tsp Garlic
320 gm Carrot, sliced
60gm Tomato paste
220 gm Potatoes, diced
1 cup white Rice
1 cup Red Lentils
2 cups cooked Chick peas
Pinch of Oregano
¼ tsp Cayenne pepper



  1. Blanch the Tomatoes to remove the skin. Cut the cores out and peel skin off. Cut them into small pieces and put in a pan on low heat. Add a bit of Garlic. Cook for 30 mins. Stir every once and a while, add the Tomato paste and stir well.
  2. Skin and cut up the Potato and Carrot. Boil together, 30 mins, they should be tender.
  3. Cook the Rice. Add some Salt. heat to low and cover. DON”T stir it. Cook for about 6 minutes (you don’t want all the water to evaporate.
  4. Cook the Lentils until they are tender.
  5. Add Chick peas in a pan and them them through for a few mins.
  6. Mix everything together, add Oregano and Cayenne pepper. Serve and enjoy!
