INGREDIENTS
Serves 4-6
1 x 20cm (8”) shortcrust
pastry flan case
30g butter
10 green shallots, finely
chopped
2 eggs
1 cup cream
3tbsp parsley, chopped
Few leaves of thyme
Spicy Kasoundi
Salt and pepper
METHOD
- Prepare flan case as described on Shortcrust
- Pastry and refrigerate.
- Bake at 190°C for 10 minutes. Pat down centre if it puffs up.
- Melt butter in a frying pan and sauté shallots
- lightly, stir in eggs, cream, shallots, herbs, Spicy
- Kasoundi, salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour into flan case. Bake in preheated 190°C oven for 30-40 minutes or until filling is set.
