FRIED TOFU WITH SPICY LEMONGRASS RELISH

Ingredients

  • Fried Tofu Cubes
  • 400 gm firm Tofu, drained, cut into 12-16 cubes
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • Besan flour
  • oil
  • Spicy Lemongrass Relish
  • 2 tbls Oil
  • 3 Lemongrass stalks, white part only, thinly sliced
  • 40 gm Spanish Onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 6 red Birds eye Chillies, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp gnd Pepper

 

Method

  1. Season each Tofu cube with salt and pepper, and dust in Besan flour to coat.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan, and fry tofu cubes until golden brown. Arrange fried Tofu cubes in a serving plate and set aside.
  3. To make the spicy Lemongrass relish, heat 2 tbls Oil in a pan over medium high heat. Once the Oil is hot, sauté Lemongrass, Spanish Onion, Garlic, and Chillies until fragrant. Season with Salt and Pepper. Turn the heat off, and pour the spicy relish over the arranged Tofu cubes. Serve immediately.
